I am currently using some of Tarte cosmetics and really love all of them. I really satisfied with the result of Tarte cosmetics on my skin! Today I am going to introduce you my everyday go to cosmetic by Tarte. It is a beautiful Contour Palette called Tarte Tarteist. However, it is issued as a limited edition. I am so glad I bought this palette when it first came out to the market.

I adore this palette! Tarte Tarteist Contour Palette's powders are ultra-soft like satin, but they blend into your skin very easily. The soft powders also help me in softening any hard lines on my skin. In addition, the colors are very rich, so I do not need to use much to get the effect I am looking for.

Inside the Tarte Tarteist Contour Compact

Tarte Tarteist Contour Palette comes in a pretty and elegant gold color compact with a leather-feel finish on the lid. Additionally, the compact equipped with a generous and very clear mirror inside. As a girl, I have to admit that Tarte definitely has a great way of catching my eyes through their beautiful packaging. I noticed that the powder also had a kind of cocoa fragrance, a little sweet and somehow so addicting.

The Shades

Tarte Tarteist Contour Palette is a universal, goofproof, and face slenderizing palette that allows anyone to master the art of contouring. This contouring palette features six contouring shades and a step by step visual guide so you can learn how to contour, highlight, correct, and accentuate your face like a professional make up artist.

FYI, inside the cover packaging, you will find a piece of instructions paper on how to best use the contour shades. It is very good for beginners to learn how to contour their best features. I found this instructions paper pretty helpful for the right color placement.

The Shades On My Skin

A Closer Look

Highlight & Correct Shades: These two are not my favorite, but they work pretty good in creating a fresh looking skin. The light pink highlight shade is best to enhance your complexion and create a radiant look. While the yellow correct shade can work as a concealer in the hollow of eyes and helps to cover the the dark circles under the eyes.

Contour Shades: I really love these shades! Since my cheeks are a little chubby, I use these shades pretty often. These two shades are very good in creating skinny cheeks! I can't ask for more. The darker shade (medium-dark taupe brown) is a perfect contour color should be, with warm undertones and a matte finish. It also had a good pigmentation without creating any heavy feeling. The color also blended out fairly well with the lighter shade and lasted for about eight hours.

Accentuate: This one is my second favorite after the contour shades. The shade is in medium pink with a very soft look. I usually use it as blush. The color of this shade is also very pretty. However, it faded really fast. It only stayed for about two or three hours on my skin.

Glow: You can find this white shimmering color in almost every contour palette. It can be used as a highlighter to add sheen to cheekbones, nose, eyes and etc. I personally do not use this shade too much because I do not really like the shimmering effect.
